Thoughts about scripture…
We were reading Acts 16 yesterday in our bible study and we came across the section where Paul and Silas just had the poop beat out of them, saw a jailer’s household saved and went back to visit Lydia’s house church. I never thought about it before but Paul didn’t hang around long. He went back to encourage the church, then split! I’ve never seen that happen before. Wouldn’t it be something to be a part of that just once. Go into a neighborhood, find a person of peace, disciple them a little bit, expect them to reproduce and leave! Wouldn’t it also be something to actually have to endure the type of persecution that came Paul and Silas’ way and still stay the course?
